OUZOUD WATERFALLS
It is one of the most famous natural sites in Morocco. At 110 meters high, the river Tissakht has three levels of cascading. We are in the Middle Atlas, more than 150 kilometers from Marrakech. Through the Moroccan country roads, it will take almost 3 hours to reach the wild and amazing site.
At an altitude of 1060 metres, the surrounding valley seems to be an oasis planted with olive trees, almond trees, fig trees, carob trees and other green species. The falls rush majestically to impress the visitor. Long white streaks fall down the glowing sandstone rock walls while thousands of silver droplets erupt in the air.
A rainbow lives there almost permanently. Obviously, this day will be relaxing and refreshing. You will be able to feel the pressure of the torrents of water as you get closer to the waterfalls or cross from one bank to the other on a small boat. On furnished terraces it will be possible to have lunch with a breathtaking view of the falls.
Magot monkeys, also known as Barbary macaques, live freely in this environment. They sometimes come to greet tourists mischievously.

ESSAOUIRA
Essaouira: The small port city keeps its charm intact inside its eighteenth-century ramparts, on the edge of the ocean often agitated by the trade winds. It’s lively, colourful and the black-headed gulls take care of the sound animation! Departure is around 08:30 after breakfast at DAR TALIWINT. The journey takes about three hours. On the road, the argan trees, invaded by greedy and acrobatic goats, amuse the eyes.
Over time, the small citadel has become an artistic, musical and cultural centre and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Orson Welles, who shot his film Othello here in 1949, had already made its ramparts famous. In the ’60s and ’70s, Jimmy Hendrix, Cat Stevens, Donovan, Mick Jagger and other musical stars would enjoy the white and blue city to find more exotic inspiration.
These folk and rock personalities have left their mark and today the musical history of the city continues to be played out during the Gnaoua and World Music Festival, which usually takes place in June. In the summer, surfers from all over the world play on the waves of the ocean. The city with many art galleries is never empty and tourists like to stroll nonchalantly through the alleys of the medina. Tasting fish and shellfish is a must for those who appreciate the delicacies of the seafood. You can enjoy it in restaurants or outside, after having the fish, you bought on the port, grilled for you. But you’ll have to take care of your plates because seagulls are sometimes incorrigible thieves!
