GONE WITH THE WIND
Dawn is the perfect time…Nature is still asleep. Departure is at sunrise, around 5 am. A 4×4 vehicle takes you to the spot where take-off will take place.
Upon arrival, a welcome tea and coffee is offered under a tent. This is a first moment of conviviality in order to get to know each other and exchange expectations before an exceptional experience. The hot air balloons are still lying on the floor. They look huge.
The impressive moment of inflating the balloon would justify the trip in itself. We proceed to boarding and taking off very gradually. Fire spits are heard.
The silence that then reigns in the basket seems to accompany the gentle awakening of nature. Now the shadow of the hot air balloon is cast on the arid ground.
You already realize that the show will be grandiose and that you will experience an hour of pure emotion. The flight over the palm groves, the Atlas mountains, the small Berber villages leaves everyone speechless.
The sky glows and the sun appears slowly. Everything seems to be suspended : time, the rythm of nature, the flight of the other balloons, the noises…The gaze tries to embrace everything, even the farthest horizon. It is no longer clear how long the flight lasted, if it felt like an eternity or a flash.
